Keep in mind that Guitars and other instruments like keyboards, flutes etc. go together, meaning that it's very hard if not impossible to isolate Guitars and leave keyboards untouched, for example.



Also note that removing an instrument, or voice, from the mix usually sounds very good, while isolating a track and listening to it alone often sounds a little artificial. This is inevitable as a mixed song is blended together in complicated ways, and it is a very hard task to isolate the tracks once again.
